Who is Weststar?

Weststar is an interstate and logistic problem solving company that started in 1988 in Fontana, California. Dan Corriea started the company to create a place to provide growth for its employees, expansion to other cities and states, and most importantly somewhere people could come to work and take care of their families. In 1990, Dan saw opportunity to come up north to Shafter, California and make a name for Weststar in the Oil Service Industry. Since then Weststar has been a major player in the San Joaquin Valley, holding contracts with major and independent oil companies as well as expanding our general freight business to include: roofing, sand, steel, tractors, and anything else that can be pulled by a truck. Weststar offers a very competitive package for benefits and pay. The benefits that Weststar provides are: Medical, Dental, Life and a 401K plan that the company matches to 3%. Our range of annual income at Weststar is approximately: 57,000 to 68,000 for truck drivers and 67,000 to 90,000 for crane operators.

What does Weststar do?

Weststar is a trucking company that can haul any material that needs to be moved. All in all Weststar has over 150 trailers to take care of any customer needs. Weststar can handle flat bed, drop deck, doubles, vans and heavy hauling by just making a simple call to our logistic specialist team. Weststar has also worked with our customers to design special trailers that are specific to the needs of oil field and rig work to round out another 50 trailers in our fleet. Although Weststar’s terminal is in California, we are an Interstate company. Weststar works inside of California and locally too; we hauled approximately 30,000 loads in 2007. Since 2007, our load count has grown by leaps and bounds. The dispatch team are specialists in logistics and can take care of any need you have as a customer. Whether it is a piece of equipment coming from Europe to a patch of desert here in Kern County or 500 loads out of the harbor in 7 days, we can do it! Weststar’s interstate division is in a growth period with an exciting new dispatcher that has an incredible gift to find loads to keep the trucks moving. Expansion is on the horizon to open a couple new terminals this year and we invite new employees and customers along for the ride.
